7 cats rescued from hoarding situation in SF Bay Area

June 2014 - A couple of months ago, a local animal control department got a call from the police to rescue seven cats - 6 Persians and a giant, sweet Domestic Shorthair - from horrible conditions in a house, the site of some family drama.  The pictures are too awful to show here -each was matted beyond belief and covered in dirt and feces.  Some were found in carriers, others locked in a bathroom.  The shelter stepped in and shaved and bathed each, and gave each a cozy kennel in which to recuperate.  They were all scared, but very sweet, despite their situation. ACC named them for the Von Trapp family - Gretel, Brigitta, Liesl, Kurt, Friedrich and Louisa... and Captain.  Fast forward to now, after MANY vet visits, spay/neuter, dental, fluids, etc., they are thriving! One by one, they are being adopted to warm, safe, loving homes.
